Position Summary:
The Prep Crew is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining organized workstations, and ensuring consistent, high-quality food preparation in a commissary kitchen. This role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and upholding food safety standards to support seamless operations. Dependability and reliable transportation are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and portioning guidelines, including cutting, measuring, and mixing.
- Ensure kitchen equipment, tools, and surfaces are clean and sanitized.
- Label and store prepped items properly, following food safety and storage protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or restocking needs to management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly prep area at all times.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries, verifying quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen prep role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Reliable and punctual, with dependable transportation.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a commissary kitchen or food truck setting.
- Basic knife skills and comfort handling kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of plant-based or vegan cuisine is a plus.
