Job Title: Cashier

Location: The Golden Plant Food Truck (Nashville, TN & Surrounding Areas)

Job Type: Part-Time (Saturdays Only)

The Golden Plant is a growing vibrant food truck specializing in house-made vegan burgers crafted with simple, clean ingredients. We’re passionate about sustainability, bold flavors, and creating a welcoming experience for everyone—from vegans to non-vegans.

Position Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and reliable Cashier to join our team on Saturdays! As the face of The Golden Plant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every customer has a positive and satisfying experience. The position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to be part of a  fun, dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customer orders accurately, answer menu questions, and provide recommendations as needed.
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions using our POS system with accuracy.
• Assist with packaging and handing out orders when nessasarry.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service.
• Follow food safety and handling guidelines.
• Be willing to travel to events in Nashville and surrounding areas. 

Qualifications:

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate!
• Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to follow directions accurately to ensure smooth operations during shifts 
• Must have reliable transportation and be available to work Saturdays, with occasional travel to surrounding areas.

Compensation:

$20 per hour.
